This dialog provides access to all operations related to session management.

To activate a session ...

1. Select the desired (non-active) session data row.

2. Click the Activate button.

The active session row is identified by a green marker. Only one session can be active at a time.

To create a duplicate of the active session ...

1. Select the active session data row.

2. Select the Active session duplicate command from the Create new ... drop-down menu.

After creation the new session will be activated automatically.

To create a new empty session ...

1. Select the Empty session command from the Create new ... drop-down menu.

After creation the new session will be activated automatically.

To import the design of another session within the same project ...

1. Select the desired (non-active) session data row; the selected session should hold the desired design to be imported.

2. Select the Import design from selected to active session command from the Additional ... drop-down menu.

To import the design of another session from another project ...

1. Select the active session data row.

2. Select the Import design from ... command from the Additional ... drop-down menu.

3. In the Open Session Dialog navigate to the desired session file of the desired project; ProTOp v5.x and ProTOp v6.x session files are supported.

4. Click the Open button.

NOTE. Optimal designs from ProTOp v5.x projects can be imported into new ProTOp v6.x projects.

To import model data of another session from another project ...

1. Select the active session data row.

2. Select the Import model data from ... command from the Additional ... drop-down menu.

3. In the Open Session Dialog navigate to the desired session file of the desired project; ProTOp v5.x and ProTOp v6.x session files are supported.

4. Click the Open button.

NOTE. Model data such as optimization load cases, configurators, ..., from ProTOp v5.x projects can be imported into new ProTOp v6.x projects. Importing model data may result in incomplete data and unwanted side effects. Thorough verification and manual corrections of the model are typically needed.

To delete a session ...

1. Select the desired (non-active) session data row.

2. Select the Delete session command from the Additional ... drop-down menu.

To save a new session picture ...

1. Display the desired picture of the structure in the main graphics window.

2. Select the Take and apply new snapshot command from the Additional ... drop-down menu.

NOTE. This picture is updated automatically after leaving any optimization process dialog.
