To setup a usable license service, the following steps are required by using the license service manager:
The license service manager application is used to configure and manage the service.
NOTE. The license service has to be configured only on the computer that will provide license tokens to applications.
The first step in obtaining a license is to generate a license request.
1. Run the license service manager CaessLMSvcMng.exe.
2. Click the Request ... button within the License tab.

3. In the license package request form confirm that this computer will host the requested license pack.
4. Fill in the license administrator data.
5. Add the license pack items to be requested.

6. Click the Generate button to generate the request file content.
7. Click the Save To File ... button to save the request content to a file.
8. Email the saved file as an attachment to your reseller or to CAESS support.
License activation can be done after a license activation file is delivered to you by your reseller or CAESS. Keep this file at hand when going through the activation procedure.
1. Run the license service manager CaessLMSvcMng.exe.
2. Make sure that the license service is not in a running state; if it is running, stop it from within the Service tab.
3. Within the License tab click the Activate ... button and point to the license activation file.
Once the the license is activated, the license service has to be registered and started.

2. Switch to the Service tab.
3. Click the Register button to register the service to the operating system.
4. Set the service configuration options as desired.
3. Click the Start button to start the service.

IMPORTANT. For network licensing make sure that the license service can be reached from the client machines. If you use a firewall, make sure to allow the license service application CaessLMSvc.exe to communicate on the used port.
